"EGGS GOT TO 25¢ ea.?" This is war

Time is always running out when you think of it. Truth is, the last 44 years in The MDs Band’s history have blown by like dry leaves in fall, and reality check: not many genuinely care, old news. But what really is alarming is to notice that not many are really freaking with the cost of a single egg reaching 25¢. A 70% price increase from last year, when inflation is still reported at 7%. How surprising can this be when mass media seems more preoccupied with news of the psychological health of the few and graze lightly and even lie on matters that are killing most of us? Like really.

What can we expect in life? Well, at least The MDs vow to continue their front-man Richard D’Lima’s social campaign that began in the early 80s with their track “Brain Damage”. A fervent cry condemning the overwhelming amount of trash we still are “fed” day and night with, not only with toxins in foods we eat but also in the politically corrupted and now infamous fake news.

“What about this “radiation” that doesn’t let us be?” claims Rex Arthur MD. “Rather than about death, Radiation is a song about a protest to this mass-promoted blindness on relevant pro-humanity issues.” We are just continuing our mission to flag the lacks and flaws of our already toxic society, taking Lennon’s hymn “Love is all you need” and putting it to use.”

Radiation's music video, released on March 1, 2023, is the first A.I. music video by The MDs, filled with beautiful dark visuals showing mankind's fight to find love in the "radiation" that has become our lives. We all hope it will be found one day.

A TALE of Two CTs

"Say hello to my little FRIENDS"

On Thursday, May 3, 2016 -Two drummers recorded in the same session in a historic match-up for the Band. FernandoMD (The MDs beat rocking drummer) welcomed Rigo Collazo (ex-founding member of The MDs), who just joined the new album's line-up, returning to blast a couple of tunes in what is due to be ONE HELL OF AN LP. Due to be released this summer only in a collector's VINYL edition.

More than a mere simple project, this venture is a dream in the making for the Band. Never toned down, the naughty riffs of the Mythic Dionisius' of Rock'nRoll, return with a collection of cuts that once again uncommonly encompass a fusion of genres. "We don't aim to please; these are non-comforting songs that follow no rules. Plenty of cuts with multiple levels of intensity in 8 new tracks and 3 revisited classics. We even included a few easter eggs on it", says Ian Carvacho (Bassist)

Oops we did it again.

SUGAR RUSH was released on a beautiful Saturday, July 25, 2015.

A little cool and adventurous song with a punk-ish vibe with a spacey intro that sets you up nicely for a piece full of vibrancy and energy. It's a first to the band in many ways, the first track by the new lineup. First song to be released worldwide to all major internet music outlets, including iTunes and Spotify, the first track in their latest project in the works, "Vitals" a collection of unreleased, revamped songs. Definitely the most ambitious effort in the history of the band.

"This is how we want to go out, looking alive, driving straight into the drop with arms up, shouting and chanting, never looking back, letting it all sulk into our souls" -Rex.

The music will transcend and outlive us all. It is our here, the now, and the future. The sum of a succulent past, the unfolding history of a voyage that always pushed straight forward.

October's 77 Tricks or Treats

SUGAR RUSH was released on a beautiful Saturday, July 25, 2015."There comes a time when we hear a certain call" sounds like a song many know but too many ignore daily. What do we do when we get that feeling? WRITE a song about it, of course. The MDs, an "old band made up of new friends and not so new ones too," finally dropped some nasty riffs on the tracks, and like in any new addiction, "IT FELT SO GOOD," in Rick's own words. Our new song titled "Sugar Rush" is the first new song in 32 years, so it's a big deal (to us). The band plans to relocate to an "old abandoned Hospital" to record it was ruled out by the sound engineer, and that's that. Recorded and released under the Surgeon Records label, it is part of a long-planned EP pre-titled "Vitals." Listen to it Live on October 21 @ Club 77

"Touring local clubs again has really been an eye-opener, well at least up until you feel the merciless finger poking in it," says Rex, "Staying true to your roots alienates the "wrong" crowd. If you love our music or you hate it, both ways, it feels we are doing something right."

When all is GOOD, nothing changes!

Thanks for the downloads. There's no more incredible feeling than seeing such a response. Even more remarkable when you see how they share their findmemories, or to lots, both. These last weeks have been tremendous in our "History". First of all, many people finally noticed that after a long hiatus, "The MDs are back" and with the effervescent passion that defines us.

Already been heard throughout North America, South America, specially Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Great Britain, and some parts of Europe. The MDs are immensely grateful for the warm welcome in soundcloud.com (you HAVE TO READ what they are saying about us, ADD YOUR OWN COMMENTS).

A special thanks to all of those who have dropped us a line, asked about us, our showsmusic, and videos, there are too many to mention, but you know who you are, and you are all unique to us. For now, DON'T CHANGE A THING, 'cause we love it. And remember that no one can steal what you share. Share this and like us on facebook if you haven't already.

Your friends, THE MDS
